Terms & Conditions of Booking
Equilibria Myotherapy & Yoga

By booking an appointment with Equilibria Myotherapy & Yoga (“Equilibria”, “we”, “our”, “us”), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Appointments & Deposits
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
Your booking is confirmed only once payment of the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance is payable at the conclusion of your appointment unless otherwise agreed.
2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
• Cancellations or changes made with more than 48 hours’ notice — deposit will be refunded
• Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours — deposit will be forfeited.
• Failure to attend without notice (“no-show”) — deposit will be forfeited.
This policy ensures fairness and sustainability of appointment availability. Further details are set out in our cancellation policy.
3. Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to respect the next client’s appointment time.
The full session fee remains payable.
4. Health Information & Consent
By attending an appointment, you confirm that:
• You have provided accurate and complete health information.
• You will inform us of any changes to your health status.
• You consent to receiving myotherapy, dry needling, cupping, and/or yoga services as discussed during your consultation.
You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Scope of Practice
Equilibria provides myotherapy and yoga services within professional scope of practice.
Services provided:
• Are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
• Do not replace advice from your GP or medical specialist.
If appropriate, we may recommend referral to another healthcare provider.
6. Results Disclaimer
While we aim to provide high-quality, evidence-informed care, outcomes vary between individuals.
We do not guarantee specific results.
7. Payment Terms
Accepted payment methods are credit card via our online booking platform or HICAPS, bank transfer or exact cash.
Full payment is required on the day of service unless otherwise agreed.
Outstanding balances may incur reminder notices.
8. Refunds
Deposits are refundable only if cancellation is made more than 48 hours before the appointment.
Services already provided are non-refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Privacy
We collect and manage your personal and health information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Our Privacy Policy is available on our website or upon request.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
• Equilibria is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from services provided.
• You acknowledge that you voluntarily participate in treatment and movement sessions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
11. Website & Online Booking
When booking online, you agree that:
• Information entered is accurate.
• You are authorised to make the booking.
• You accept the deposit and cancellation terms
12. Code of Conduct for Unregistered Health Practitioners
Equilibria Myotherapy & Yoga operates in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Unregistered Health Practitioners, as prescribed under the Health Care Complaints Act 1993 (NSW).
The Code outlines minimum standards of practice and conduct for unregistered health practitioners in New South Wales, including obligations relating to:
• Providing safe and ethical care
• Maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Ensuring informed consent
• Protecting client privacy
• Keeping appropriate clinical records
• Maintaining professional indemnity insurance
