MYOTHERAPY & YOGA
get back into balance
SUMMER HILL
Equilibria offers personalised, evidence-based myotherapy and yoga in the Inner West, helping you move with ease and freedom.
Myotherapy is a manual therapy that works to relieve pain and get you back to doing what you love. This is perfectly paired with yoga to maintain and improve flexibility, strength and range of motion while nourishing the nervous system.
gentle treatment for what’s really causing your pain
Do you want to truly address what is going on in your body? We will work together to understand your pain and the injuries, activities and posture that might be keeping you stuck. A holistic approach, rather than just treating symptoms.

MYOTHERAPIST AND YOGA TEACHER
I’m passionate about helping people find balance and freedom in their bodies. As a local mum of two young kiddos I love to support other mums and women. Through my own experiences with chronic pain, I understand first-hand the relief that manual therapies can bring.
I am a lifelong lover of dance and movement. In my downtime you can find me exploring secret swimmingholes in the bush, finding the best local pastry shop or stitching a hand embroidery project.
My focus is on working with you to understand what is going on in your body and address this through remedial bodywork techniques and self-care. My yoga classes promote improved mobility and strength, body awareness and nervous system regulation.
I will help you to move and feel better so that you can get back to doing the things you love.
myotherapy supports your body to heal
Myotherapy is a structured, whole-body approach to musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It combines assessment, hands-on treatment and self-care advice to help you move and feel better.
Treatments are natural, effective and evidence-based. My toolkit of techniques include massage, trigger point release, myofascial release, dry needling, cupping, stretching and mobilisation.
Every session aims to promote your body’s natural ability to heal, helping to restore balance and ease.

a practitioner who truly listens to you
At Equilibria, our sessions are significantly longer sessions than many other manual therapists. 75 min timeslots allow the space for you to share the story of your body, for the development of a proper treatment plan, and perhaps most importantly, for you to unwind and relax into the treatment.
Your unique body, the journey you have been through so far and your goals and lifestyle are all critical factors in healing and feeling better.
-
Use of extremely fine acupuncture needles in painful or tight muscles. This disrupts the pain response, improves circulation and provokes the body's healing response. Can be combined with electronic intra-muscular stimulation for an even more effective treatment.
-
Creating a vacuum using either heat or suction to lift the skin, superficial fascia and muscle. This promotes circulation and is great for widespread aching muscles. Surprisingly relaxing.
-
Manual massage techniques that relax the nervous system, improve circulation and stimulate the body's healing and pain reduction mechanisms. Includes trigger point release, myo-fascial release and stretching techniques.
